Understanding the Canada Dental Care Plan (CDCP): Who Qualifies and How It Works

Helping Our Community Access Dental Care

At Marinaside Dental, we’re proud to support programs that make dental care more accessible to Canadians. The Canada Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a government initiative designed to provide preventive dental care to those who need it most. Here’s how it works and how you can benefit.

What Is the CDCP?

The CDCP is a federal dental care program aimed at helping Canadians who do not have private dental insurance and meet certain income criteria. It covers services like:

  • Dental check-ups in Yaletown
  • Professional cleanings
  • X-rays
  • Preventive treatments like fluoride and sealants
  • Basic restorative procedures

Who Qualifies?

To qualify, you must:

  • Be a Canadian resident
  • Not have access to private dental insurance
  • Have a family income under a specific threshold

As a participating Yaletown dentist, Marinaside Dental is ready to help eligible patients navigate the process.

How to Access CDCP Benefits

Start by applying through the Government of Canada website. Once approved, you can book an appointment with our team. We’ll explain what treatments are covered and create a care plan that aligns with the CDCP and your needs.

We’re Here to Help

If you’re unsure about your eligibility or how the CDCP works, contact Marinaside Dental. Our staff is happy to answer your questions and help you access the preventive dental care you deserve.
